The Elite Men Race Start ( 8 Laps)

The Elite Women Race Start

Robin Seymour went straight into the lead

Richie McCauley, Colm Mullen and Don Travers were in a race for 2nd place

Then came Niall Quinlan and Matt Dempsey

Tarja Owens and Sadie Parker from New Zealand battle for the women's medals

Beth McCluskey in 3rd place

Seymour started laping the field

Past the half way point and the trio are still together

Niall Quinlan puts the pressure on lap 5

Matt Slattery never got into it - having a bad day!

Returning to competition Paul Hicks did enough to climb to 10th place

Only 2 laps to go now almost 10 minutes gap to 2nd

Going for 2nd place it's now between Travers and Mullen

For the leading ladies, they would battle to the line - Parker taking the race by 4 seconds

Seymour coming to take his 7th Irish MTB Championship Title

Colm Mullen took 2nd and Don Travers 3rd

4th Niall Quinlan & 5th Simon Loughlin
