Irish Cycling Federation Kelly Roche House, 23rd August 2000 EGM IS CANCELLED The EGM which was set for Saturday 26th has been cancelled. This has been brought about by the Olympic Council of Ireland allocating one additional official. The third post would go to a mechanic and as such John Keegan has been nominated to this. It should be noted that at no time was Peter Purfield ever nominated by the board as the Team Mechanic. The board nominated Peter as the Mountain bike official which was to be the second official. The request submitted by Michael McSharry on behalf of Hilltown CC calling for the EGM had 13 clubs listed backing the motion. Subsequently three clubs Orwell Whl, Kildare/Newbridge, and Mayo Whl have since indicated that they did not request an EGM, but three other clubs Lisburn, Orchard Whl and Banbridge CC, not on the original list sent in the required instruction. Several clubs have indicated that they want an enquiry into how there club name was on the list in the first place. Ciaran
