Part 1 of 2 set of pictures from the event taken by Peter Purfield

A very large group of riders assemble on the Curragh for the start

The A2 riders are sent off first to do 6 laps of a 17.5km circuit

The A1's start 2 minutes behind

A few riders off the front of the race on lap 1

The A2 bunch

The A1 group has alrerady pulled back 30 secs in 12km

The leaders starting the drag at Boston Hill on lap 2

The scratch have closed the gap and are now just 40 secs behind
