The 2009 FBD Insurance RAS will take place from Sunday 17th to Sunday 24th May. The race is a 2.2 event on the UCI Continental Calendar. Teams of five riders representing Continental Teams, Countries, Counties and Regions will contest the race. Specially approved Representative teams may also participate. County name will preface all county teams.

Rules relating to composition of county teams are included in the general Race Rules which will be posted on the race website in March.

Teams must be comprised of 5 riders; individual entries and incomplete teams will not be accepted. . UCI Regulations will apply in relation to final date for team changes. Details will be issued to teams entered and accepted for the race. Entry to the race on a team basis by invitation only.

To book a team place in the race the attached Team Application Form should be completed and returned to the Race Organiser, with Entry Fee, before 9th March. Teams accepted for the race will subsequently be issued with UCI Enrolment Forms. Entry fee is €250 per team. It is not necessary to name riders on the Team Application Form.

ENTRY FEE; €250 per team. Closing date for team place; 15th February.

All team officials, including managers, mechanics, soigneurs, drivers, etc. must be holders of a current UCI affiliated federation licence and present it at Team Registration (UCI Regulations.).

UCI and Race Regulations will apply to team sponsorship and advertising on Classifications Jerseys. It is the responsibility of teams to be familiar with these Regulations in advance of the race. Details may be had on request to the Race Organiser. Where a rider is riding for a team whose sponsor(s) differs from that on the riders licence then he must have a letter of release from his normal sponsor (UCI Regulations).

Attached also please find Accommodation Form and list of Stage-End Accommodation Officers. The Form may be copied the required number of times and one completed copy forwarded to Stage-Ends where accommodation is required.

Reminder - to receive official approval and a place in the cavalcade each team car must have at least one other competent person in addition to the driver.

Entering for the race implies acceptance of UCI Regulations and additional Race Rules as specified in the Race Manual. The Manual will be available in early May, in the meantime a copy of the Race Rules may be had from the Race Organiser.
