RACE UPDATE: Details have been finalised for new Mayo Youth Tour
taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Entries are welcome from
national, regional and club teams and from individuals:
HOST TOWN: Kiltimagh, County East Mayo
“Kiltimagh and the surrounding area will make an excellent venue, with a
wide range of accommodation available and safe, sporting race routes.”
The town is easily accessible, about three hours’ drive from Dublin, 20
minutes from Ireland West Airport, Knock, and a short drive from the nearest
rail station at Claremorris,

STAGES:
- Stage 1, Sat, Aug 1, start 2.30pm, Swinford-Bohola-Kiltimagh circuit,
22.5km lap, undulating roads. 2 laps for U-16s, 1 lap for U-14s
- Stage 2, Sun, Aug 2, time trial, start 9am, Bohola-Kiltimagh road, 4km,
flat.
- Stage 3, Sun, Aug 2, start 2.30pm, Kiltimagh-Knock circuit, 22km lap,
rolling country.
- Stage 4, Mon, Aug 3, start 9am, short circuit race in Kiltimagh town,

the Kiltimagh locality. The Park Hotel, Kiltimagh is offering special room rates and facilities for Youth Tour participants.

Entries:
The Mayo Youth Tour welcomes entries from National, Regional, Club and
Individual entries. The event will include competitions for all age groups from
under 11s to under 16s.

mayres1@eircom.net . Entry fee is €30
(or £30), and closing date for entries is July 17. Entries received after this date will incur a fee of €60.
