2024 Downhill National Series Round 3 - Preview

The third and final round of the Downhill National Series takes place at the GAP this Saturday and Sunday, 28th and 29th of September.

Following two brilliant rounds earlier this season, the Downhill National Series concludes this weekend. Riders will be battling it out to claim the National Series title. The round has attracted high entries across all categories.

Reigning national champion Leah Maunsell is one to watch in the Women’s race having shown great form all season.

There will likely be fierce competition In the Elite category. Jake Kavanagh, Emmet Callaghan, Drew Armstrong, Joel Hamilton and Robin Sim all finished in the top ten at the National Championships and will be in action this weekend.

Steven Smyth and Ian Coates are reigning M30 and M40 national champions. They will both be racing this weekend. In the Junior division Alex Hickey and Ben Fitsimmons are ones to watch.

Friday, 27th of September
Early sign on 4pm - 5pm (sharp)

Saturday, 28th of September
Sign on 9:00 am-10.30 am
Practice First Uplift 10:00 am
Lunch (track closed - no uplifts) 13:30 pm -14:00 pm
Seeding Runs 14:00 pm - 16:00 pm
16:00 pm - 17:00 pm - Classic Cup (26" bikes only)
17:00 pm track closed

Sunday, 29th of September
Practice First up-lift 10:00 am
Lunch (track closed - no uplifts) 13.30pm -14.00 pm
Race Runs 14:00 pm -16:00 pm
16:30 pm Podiums, Overalls and Prize Giving!
