Here is an old recording I found from 1981, the Irish Cyclo Cross Championships in Stamullen. The quality is not great but some people might like to see it. Times have certainly changed, Cyclo Cross races now are big spectacles, but one thing has not changed, they are very hard races. This video shows how tough the riders using ordinary road bikes were back then.

I'd like to dedicate this video to a young rider (cover screen) who dominated this race, but did not finish. He was Raphael Kimmage who sadly passed away a few years ago.
