Kilmessan village in C. Meath was host for the 25th running of the Collins Christle Memorial race organised by Noel Clarke and the Navan Road Club. In beautiful sunshine two races were run around the 8.5 mile circuit. The combined A3 and A4 race did 4 laps and the combined A1 and A2 race did 6 laps.

Travis Harkness (Spellman Dublin Port) was fastest in a bunch sprint at the end of the A1/A2 race and his club mate Cillian Owens (Spellman Dublin Port) was the winner in the A3/A4 race, he also was the fastest in the final sprint.

The Collins Christle race is in honour of two great cyclists Joe Christle and Leo Collins both of whom are buried in the cemetery in Kilmessan.

After the finish the prizes were given out in Maguires Lounge with the presentations made by members of Leo Collins family Leon O'Coilean (brother) and Celine Collins (mother).
