It’s all to play for as riders head into the fifth and final round of the 2024 Cycling Ireland Cross-country National Series on Sunday. Hosted by Bellurgan Wheelers, Sunday will see some of Ireland’s leading Cross-country riders battle it out to win the series.

In the Senior 1 Open category only eight points separate the top five riders. Team WORC rider Daniel Brickenden currently sits at the top of the leaderboard, but he is closely followed by Gareth McKee in second, Graham Boyd in third and Geoffrey Robinson and Robin Seymour in fourth and fifth respectively.

Following her podium finish at the UK Cross-country series last weekend, Caoimhe May is showing great form. The Orwell Wheelers CC rider currently holds the lead in the series following a victory in Round 2 and two second place finishes in Round 1 and Round 4. Ciara McManus and Faith Robinson both sit four points behind May, on 76 points.

Riders must have participated in a minimum of three rounds of the series to be eligible to compete in the series.
