Magnus Sheffield of Hot Tubes winning stage 5


Stage five was won by Magnus Sheffield of Hot Tubes after he lost his yellow jersey yesterday. This win comes a year on from the day in which he lost his yellow jersey last year on Gallows Hill. Sheffield’s teammate, Nicolas Rivard, has moved into yellow with just tomorrow’s circuit race remaining.

Stage 4 of the Eurocycles Eurobaby Junior Tour began and finished in Ballyvaughan and took in 5 KOH’s including 3 CAT 1’s.

A breakaway of 15 broke clear inside the first 20km and pushed to the line where 13 of the original 15 finished with a lead of over 3 and a half minutes. This breakaway saw a shake-up on the general classification with Nathan Keown from Team Ireland taking the yellow jersey. He has an advantage of 38 seconds over his teammate Kevin McCambridge with today’s stage winner, Joe Wilson of Green Jersey in third overall at 38 seconds down.

STAGE 2

Results of today’s stage 2 of the Junior Tour of Ireland, Sponsored by Eurocycles Eurobaby.

It was won by Ian Spenkelink of Hoppenbrouwers viro-de Zwaluwen from Holland.

Magnus Sheffield of Hot Tubes Cycling moved into the yellow jersey, after he held the jersey for the majority of the race last year before puncturing on Stage 5.
