IrishCycling.com congratulates Mark Cavendish on his 35th Tour stage win. Mark Cavendish in the past has been a regular visitor to Ireland competing at many levels here. Above is a picture of Mark getting 4th place in the final stage of the 2004 FBD Milk Rás in the Phoenix Park.

At 39 years of age, Mark is still one of top professional sprinters and achieved a remarkable feat to better the 34 stage wins by the incredible cycling legend Eddy Merckx who has held the record since 1975.
