GC: How did you get started in cycling? CP: I was always mad about bikes as a kid. One of my friends got a racer, so I pestered my parents to get me one.. 4.
GC: What was your first win?
CP: I
can’t remember. 5. GC: How often do you train?
CP: Almost
every day. 6.
GC: Favourite training spin?
CP:
In winter time, I meet with a group in Carrick. We go to Waterford,
Clonmel, Dungarvan, Carrick and home. We normally have a good sprint finish! 7.
GC: Best result / performance to date?
CP: 5th
in a stage of the Giro D’Italia. 8.
GC: Ambition in cycling?
CP: To
enjoy it and make a good living. 9.
GC: Favourite professional cyclist?
CP: Don’t
have one. 10.
GC: Pet hates?
CP: I
don’t like greediness. 11.
GC: How do you relax?
CP:
Lying by the pool with Lisa plus strolling around town and having a good
coffee. 12.
GC: Do you think 3rd Cats should be re-introduced?
CP: No,
I don’t think there are enough cyclists in Ireland to have three categories. 13.
GC: Apart from Ireland, where have you raced?
CP: Europe,
Australia,
South Africa, Uruguay, the Reunion Islands and Malaysia. 14.
GC: Who will be the next Irish rider to win a Tour De France stage?
CP: I
can’t say who will be the next, but I would like it to be me. 15.
GC: Favourite race?
CP: The
FBD Milk Ras. I’d have to say that or TC would kill me!. 16.

CP: Sean

CP; Yes, just
for fun in winter , a couple of years ago. 18.

CP: I’m
dedicated when I want to be and plus I can suffer for miles and miles. 19.
GC: Would you let your kids take up the sport?
CP; They
could do whatever sport they’d like to 20. GC: Describe yourself in one sentence?
