3. GC: How did you get started in cycling?

    SO’S: It’ that long ago I don’t remember. Probably being made cycle to school.

4. GC:  What Was your first win?

    SO’S: I think it was under 16, the E.S.C.A’s in the phoenix Park.

5. GC: How often do you train?

    SO’S: When I’m not working, 3 times a week maybe.

6. GC: Favourite training spin?

    SO’S: Down to the coffee shop in Enniskerry.

7. GC: Best result / performance to date?

    MS: I suppose a stage win in the Ras

8. GC: Ambition in cycling?

    SO’S: I’ve just reached it!

9. GC: Favourite professional cyclist?

    SO’S: I dunno … Ekimov .

10. GC: Pet hates?

      SO’S: Ushers Irish Road Club (laughs)

11. GC: How do you relax?

      SO’S: I sleep

12. GC: Do you think 3^rd Cats should be re-introduced?

      SO’S: Ehh, dunno really, it’s hard to say. I think it’s fair enough, but a lot of second cats should be first cats. I don’t think they have the numbers to justify having a third category.

13. GC: Apart from Ireland, where have you raced?

      SO’S: Egypt, the Carribean and all over Europe

14. GC: Who will be the next Irish rider to win a Tour De France stage?

      SO’S: I dunno… Scanlon

15. GC: Favourite race?

      SO’S: The Shay Elliott

16. GC: Best rider you have raced against?

      SO’S: Frank Vandenbroucke

17. GC. Have you tried mountainbiking?

      SO’S; Yeah, I fell off.

18. GC:What makes you a good cyclist?

      MS: Determination and never giving up.

19. GC: Would you let your kids take up the sport?

      SO’S: No way, it’s too rough. Football. You don’t get paid enough.

20. GC: Describe yourself in one sentence?

      SO’S: Nuts!.
